Mr Sarkhell Radha

MBChB, PG Cert, MSc, MBA, MRCS, FRCS (Tr & Orth)

Mr Sarkhell Radha is a fellowship trained, multiple award winning, Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon. Mr Radha has extensive experience and specialist interests in primary hip and knee arthroplasty, complex and revision hip and knee arthroplasty including Prosthetic Joint Infection and Massive EndoProthesis, Minimally invasive arthroplasty including (Piriformis Sparing Total Hip Replacement and muscle sparing Direct Anterior Approach hip arthroplasty), hip resurfacing, hip arthroscopy, young adult hip surgery, navigation and robotic assisted knee replacement surgery and complex trauma.

 

Mr Radha routinely preforms day case arthroplasty and aims to discharge his patients from hospital as quickly as possible without compromising patient safety or care.

 

Mr Radha is Clinical Lead for the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department at Croydon University Hospital. He is keen researcher and mentor to his junior colleagues. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed publications, holds an MSc in Evidence Based Medicine and MBA. Mr Radha is the lead for the first international Best Practice Guidelines in arthroscopic management of Femoral Acetabular Impingement syndrome (FAI) as part of The Hip Preservation Society.

 

Mr Radha has won many awards throughout his career. He most recently won "Leading by Example' at the Croydon University Hospital Star Awards. He was the first consultant and doctor to receive employee of the month from the South West London Orthopaedic Centre where he performs elective orthopaedic surgery. Throughout his training, he has awarded the prestigious ‘Doctor of The Year’ award.

 

As a consultant, Mr Radha strives to continue to put his patient first providing them with the best possible care. He also strives to continually improve the challenges of the healthcare services with innovative and strategic ideas.
